A trickle vent is an opening that is fitted into the opening vent at the top of the frame.

A trickle vent allows a small amount of ventilation, that can be opened or closed.

It is ideal for people who do not like to open their windows often, if no air bricks are in the room, or if your property suffers with condensation. Our standard size for the trickle vent is 4000mm² and the sightline trickle vent grill is set into the profile. The acoustic trickle vent offers a 41DB sound reduction.

Dependant on the option you choose the cosmetics of the window may change. The child hook and eye catch is hidden discretely inside the sash. A cabled restrictor is screwed onto the inside of the frame and the sash. These are only available in white.

Restrictors limit the opening of the window to 100mm. When released, they facilitate the full opening of the window. The hook and eye concealed can be manually overridden. The cabled restrictor requires a key to be able to release the restrictor for the window to fully open.

Please note that should your windows need to meet PAS24 regulations, then you would need to allow for the following:

• All doors would require laminate outer and toughened inner glazing (glass tab)
• All windows adjoining a door would require laminate outer and toughened inner glazing (glass tab)
• All front doors require an area that can be seen out of, either within the glass, or a spyhole fitted (hardware tab)
• Letterboxes installed need to be installed with a deflection shield (hardware tab)
• Barrel type needs to be 3 Star Anti Bump Barrel (hardware tab)

Your glass type represents how strong your glass is. Annealed is the common name for float glass and tempered glass is the common name for toughened glass.

Laminated glass is two pieces of annealed glass which is stuck together with a film. Laminated glass is classed as a safety glass usually used for extra security such as shop fronts and part Q building regulation requirements.

The rating of your glass represents how energy efficient your glass is.

A Rated is the best glass for energy rating, while none rated is the lowest but also the cheapest.

The acoustic value represents how much sound the glass can dampen; the higher the acoustic value the more sound it can dampen. High acoustic glass is ideal for areas where there is going to be a lot of external noise.

This will be the extruded uPVC internal beading that your windows will be manufactured with. Our standard beading is sculptured but we do also offer chamfered internal beading if the frame profile is selected as chamfered.
