The self assembled frame is when your Bi-folding door will arrive in kit form. This is then to be screwed together. This is ideal for areas with restricted access. The fully assembled frame will come all built ready to be installed.

The cill is the material that the frame sits on external, if required. The height of the cill is 25mm, the different depth options will distinguish the overhang from the frame, which will be 70mm shorter than the size stated as this is the width of the frame.

A trickle vent is an opening that is fitted into the sash relative to the magnetic holding.

A trickle vent allows a small amount of ventilation,that can be opened or closed.
It is ideal for people who do not like to open their windows often, if no air bricks are in the room, or if your property suffers with condensation. our standard size for the trickle vent is 4000mm2 and the sightline trickle vent grill is set into the profile. The acoustic trickle vent offers a 41DB sound reduction.

These are usually required on new build installations. They are metal brackets which are longer than the door and you can screw into the frame and the inner brick course or wood.

These are extensions of profile, clipped onto the external frame. Trade often refer to these as knock-ons or add-ons.
These will be required should there be a difference between internal and external measurements due to plaster lines etc.

Glass glazing is the type of the glass you require, double glazed is a duel seal pane whereas triple glazed is a triple sealed pane. Unglazed, no glass will be supplied.

Your glass type represents how strong your glass is. Annealed is the common name for float glass and tempered glass is the common name for toughened glass.
Toughened safety glass is required in certain areas. Please see the building regulation information page if unsure whether to use toughened glass or float glass.
Laminated glass is two pieces of annealed glass which is stuck together with a film. Laminated glass is classed as a safety glass usually used for extra security such as shop fronts and part Q building regulation requirements.

The rating of your glass represents how energy efficient your glass is.
A Rated is the best glass for energy rating, while none rated is the lowest but also the cheapest.
The acoustic value represents how much sound the glass can dampen; the higher the acoustic value the more sound it can dampen. High acoustic glass is ideal for areas where there is going to be a lot of external noise.
The makeup of the units will change in line with your choice here.
